Privacy Policy
Our approach
Pactroll is a blocker for gacha games. It has no accounts and no sign-in, and it does not run servers of its own. The information you give the app is stored on your device. Because we have no server for the app to send it to, we do not receive it.
What stays on your device
The following is stored locally on your device, is used only to make the app work for you, and is not sent to us:
- Your onboarding answers — for example the name you enter, the ranges you choose for monthly spending and daily play time, your goals, the kinds of games you play, and your answers about how gacha affects you.
- Your reason — the text you write about why you are quitting.
- Your lock settings — whether your games are locked, any temporary unlock, and the date your journey started (used for your day count).
- Your preferences and saved techniques — your in-app settings and the Toolkit techniques you save.
- Your subscription status — a copy of the status Apple reports, kept so the app still works when it cannot reach Apple.
Screen Time and blocking
To block the apps you choose, Pactroll uses Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) features. You pick the apps in Apple's own selection screen; iOS gives Pactroll only opaque references to your choices, and iOS itself enforces the block. This information stays on your device. We use it only to block those apps for you. We do not upload it, share it, or use it for advertising or any other purpose, in line with Apple's rule that Family Controls data may be used only to provide family controls or individual device management.
Subscriptions and payments
Pactroll subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. Payment happens on Apple's screens; we do not receive or handle your payment details. The app checks your subscription status with Apple on your device, using your Apple Account.
When you buy a subscription, the app attaches a randomly generated identifier to the purchase, which Apple stores with the transaction. It is created on your device, is not derived from your name, email, or device, and is kept in the device's Keychain. We have no server that receives it. Apple's handling of your purchase is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Notifications
Pactroll only uses local notifications — notifications your device schedules and shows by itself, such as the reminder that brings you back to the app from a blocked game, and a reminder before your free trial ends. The app does not register for push notifications, so no push token is created or sent to us. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device's Settings.
Ratings
The app may show Apple's standard rating prompt. Any rating you give is handled by Apple; we do not receive it through the app.
Analytics, advertising, and tracking
The app contains no analytics tools, no advertising, and no crash-reporting services, and it does not track you across other apps or websites.
Links to other sites
Some parts of the app — such as the Support & resources screen and these legal pages — include links to websites and services run by others. Those are covered by their own privacy policies. We don't record which links you open.
Deleting your data
Because your data is stored on your device, deleting the Pactroll app deletes it. There is nothing held by us to delete.
One exception: the random purchase identifier described above is kept in the iOS Keychain, which iOS may keep after the app is deleted, and which may be restored to a new device from an encrypted backup. If you reinstall Pactroll, the app may reuse it. It contains no personal information.
Deleting the app also removes the Screen Time block that Pactroll set up, so the games you chose are no longer locked.

This website
This website (pactroll.com) does not use analytics or cookies.
This site is hosted by Render and delivered through its content delivery network (Render uses Cloudflare as a provider). To deliver and protect the site, these providers process technical details of each request, such as your IP address, browser type, and the page requested; Render does not give us request logs for this site, and we do not collect this information ourselves.
Children's privacy
This service is not directed at children. If you believe a child has provided personal data without consent, please contact us and we will help.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When there is a significant change, we will update the "Last updated" date on this page.

If you email us — from this site or from the app's "Contact us" link, which opens your own email app — we receive your email address and whatever you write. Messages started from the app come pre-filled with your app version and iOS version, which you can delete before sending. We use your email only to reply to you.
